Reimagined from the ground up by the Gurr family, it pairs more than 48 years of hospitality experience with garden-inspired spaces, quality food and drinks, and the kind of service that makes everyone feel welcome.
More than a pub, it's an all-day destination for locals, visitors, families and friends - relaxed enough for a quick drink, special enough for a long lunch or celebration.
Our History
Standing on Ruthven Street for more than 130 years, the former Shamrock Hotel has long been part of Toowoomba's story. After changing hands in 2021, the historic venue began a major transformation. Today, it opens a new chapter as The Bower Hotel - honouring its place in the community while bringing a fresh, contemporary pub experience to the Garden City.
